PROJECTS
Tobias Hahn received his Intermediate Diploma (“Vordiplom”) in Physics in 2007 from Heidelberg University, Germany, with a specialization in Medical Physics and Computer Science. He went on to intern at Robert Bosch GmbH in Germany, focusing on image processing methods for industrial applications. Tobias was awarded a scholarship to participate in an exchange program between Michigan State University and the German National Merit Foundation (“Studienstiftung”), ultimately receiving his MSc in Physics from MSU in 2008.
His research focused on the use of DCE-MRI and DTI for improving the characterization of breast lesions. In 2012, Tobias Hahn received a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, ETH Zurich, for his research on the use of 19-Fluorine MRI for the assessment of intestinal transit and the tracking of gastroduodenal catheters. Tobias worked as a software engineer at GyroTools Ltd. (Switzerland) in the field of cardiac MRI. He has investigated the potential of a smartphone-based diagnosis of reflux disease through a national training program for innovative high-tech startups.
