Dennis Jones

Dennis Jones is an interdisciplinary biomedical scientist commited to translational research. Dennis received his Bachelor’s of Science degree, magna cum laude, in biology from Morehouse College in in 2006. In the fall of 2006, he started his graduate work in the Immunobiology Department at Yale University. Under the guidance of Professor Wang Min, his thesis research focused on characterizing the signal transduction pathways that mediate lymphangiogenesis in pathological settings. Dennis was awarded his doctorate degree in 2012 and has been a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Professor Timothy Padera since August 2012. At Massachusetts General Hospital, his current project(s) aim to elucidate the consequences of tumor cells metastasizing through the lymphatic system and the impact of pyogenic inflammation on lymphatic vessels. The goal of this research is to identify lymphatic-associated molecular targets that will lead to more efficacious treatment and ultimately improve quality of life and overall survival for patients with disease.
